FAQ

Real questions from real archers

How do I know my draw length?
Wingspan ÷ 2.5 gets you close. Use the calculator above for a tuned recommendation, then verify in person at a pro shop.
Compound or recurve for a beginner?
Compound is generally easier to shoot accurately fast — let-off holds the weight for you. Recurve teaches form purer. Either is a great start.
What spine do I need for a 65 lb bow at 28" draw?
Roughly 340–400 spine for a 100 gr point, but the spine calculator factors in arrow length, point weight, and cam aggressiveness for a real answer.
Are Amazon archery products legit?
Yes when buying from the manufacturer or authorized sellers. Big brands (Easton, Bear, Vortex, Scott) sell direct or via verified resellers. Always check seller info.
How often should I tune my bow?
Anytime you change rest, arrows, point weight, or string. Otherwise check paper-tune at the start of every season.
Best broadhead — fixed or expandable?
Fixed for short distances and tougher game; mechanicals for longer shots if your bow is fast and tuned. Always tune broadheads to match field points.
